in an alternate universe, Trayvon Martin successfully defends himself from an unjust murder attempt and George Zimmerman dies instead. When the police arrive, he tries to plea standing his ground.

Unfortunately, the police arrest him anyway citing the lack of enough paleness in his skin color proves his intent to kill Zimmerman.  

Today, we are instead watching coverage of Martin’s arraignment, and his family still cries for justice.

The following months are a jumble of false testimonies from police officers trying to protect each other and Florida’s government being racist as usual.

The real sad part is, even in an alternate universe, America is STILL that fucked up.

I am a staunch Democrat.  

I am a dedicated (not quite devout) Catholic.

So when I heard of this mandate, I was at odds with myself right?  The truth is, I thought, “Why the fuck are we wasting our time on this?” 

There’s 99% of us who will say this is a bill about convenience rather than progress.  How easy is it to get condoms at a Planned Parenthood or other similar center?  The only possible reason I can think that any other sensible person would want to pass this bill is for the convenience of not needing to drive off their Catholic campus to have to collect it from another location.

Is this what government is reduced to?  While I have yet to see the bill, I can already see it as unconstitutional.  Religious groups as well as their affiliated organizations should not be forced to do such things, ESPECIALLY when the product in question (contraception) is already so easily accessible to the general public, religious or not.

What a fucking waste of my tax dollars.  This shouldn’t even be an issue.  Stop the vote on this shit, and go back after the rich in America.  If there’s one “group” Congress should be attacking, it isn’t themselves.  Its the shitheads on Wall Street and CEO’s of the 1% who put us in this economic black hole that should be under our scrutiny.  

Again, Republicans and Democrats alike are wasting my fucking money and my fucking time to argue with each other and stand in the way of real progress.
